What do you need to know?
Menopause is a life stage that every woman has been or will go through. It has a wide variety of impacts on some womens lives. Menopause is your last period and you become post menopausal 1 year after your last period. Perimenopausal is the time prior to menopause where you may also be experiencing symptoms. The average age for menopause in Australia is 51 but there is a large range and some will experience symptoms as early as 40.

There are some easily describable issues such as periods changing, becoming closer or further apart or perhaps heavier or lighter. Hot flushes and night sweats. Genitourinary symptoms of menopause (GSM) such as dryness, increased frequency of urination or reduced libido are common when our hormonal levels fluctuate.
